What We’re Bringing to FSimUK 2026

Two days. One Community Hub. Four Landing Challenges. And plenty of reasons to come and say hello.

When AvGeekHangar became FSimUK’s Official Community Partner, we didn’t want to turn up in October, put our logo on a stand and spend the weekend telling people about our website.

We wanted to bring something useful to the event.

So, on 10 and 11 October, we’re creating a physical version of what AvGeekHangar is all about – bringing people together, supporting the community and hopefully having some fun along the way.

Here’s what you’ll find.

The Community Hub – Powered by AvGeekHangar

At the heart of our FSimUK presence will be the Community Hub.

Flight simulation shows can be busy places. There is plenty to see, people to speak to and probably more hardware to investigate than is healthy for your bank balance.

The Community Hub is somewhere to stop for a while.

Grab a seat, charge your phone for free, meet other visitors, discover people and projects from around the community or just take ten minutes before heading back out into the show.

There is no requirement to buy anything.

In fact, that’s rather the point.

Chill. Charge. Connect.

Community Spotlight

There are some brilliant people doing interesting things around flight simulation who don’t necessarily have huge audiences or exhibition stands.

We want to give some of them a platform.

Our Community Spotlight will introduce visitors to projects, businesses and people from around the community and give them an opportunity to tell their story.

We’re starting with some fantastic examples, including FlightControls and DesktopCockpits, and you’ll also find their stories here in The Hangar.

It’s something we intend to continue long after FSimUK has finished.

Creators Corner

You’ve watched the videos. You’ve joined the streams. You’ve probably spoken to some of them on Discord.

Now come and say hello.

Creators Corner will give creators and their communities somewhere to meet during the weekend without needing a formal stand of their own.

For us, this is exactly what a community space should be used for. Flight-sim creators are a huge part of the hobby, but the interesting bit isn’t the follower count – it’s bringing together the people on both sides of the screen.

Keep an eye on AvGeekHangar and FSimUK channels for more details about who you’ll be able to meet and when.

Take on the Landing Challenges

Think you can land?

Good.

You can prove it.

Three flight simulation groups from across the UK will be running their own Landing Challenges around FSimUK, with AvGeekHangar supporting the activities by offering prizes for the top scores!

There will be two age categories, giving younger visitors the opportunity to compete too, with the best performers recognised at the end of both Saturday and Sunday.

Whether you’re chasing the leaderboard or just fancy discovering how good that butter really was, have a go.

You might surprise yourself.

Pick up your Flight Log

We wanted to give visitors another reason to explore FSimUK rather than simply walk around it.

So we’re creating the AvGeekHangar Flight Log.

You’ll have a series of missions to complete around the event – including taking on Landing Challenges, finding a secret aircraft and answering a question somewhere within Aerospace Bristol.

Complete the Flight Log and hand in your completed log to a visitor desk or community hub for entry into our grand prize draw. Not only that, but you’ll also be able to earn Hangar Miles for your AvGeekHangar account too.

It’s part treasure hunt, part flight log and hopefully a good excuse to discover bits of the event you might otherwise have missed.

Come and experience The Hangar

We’re also bringing AvGeekHangar.com off the screen.

You’ll be able to discover the different areas we’re building online, including The Hangar, Technical Hangar, Hangar Exchange and Add-ons & Liveries, and speak to us about what you’d like to see from them.

There will also be simulator experiences within the Hub, giving visitors another opportunity to get behind the controls.

And yes, we’ll have a physical AvGeekHangar Store at FSimUK too, with a selection of aviation and flight-sim related products available during the weekend.

The shop has its place.

But it isn’t the reason we’re going.

Come and talk to us

This is probably the most important part.

If you’re coming to FSimUK, please come and speak to us.

Tell us what you fly.

Show us your home cockpit.

Tell us which add-on you couldn’t live without.

Tell us what annoys you about flight simulation.

Tell us about a community, club, virtual airline or project that more people should know about.

And tell us what you think AvGeekHangar should be doing.

We’re building this around the community, and FSimUK gives us the opportunity to actually meet that community face-to-face.

So whether you’re a veteran simmer with thousands of hours behind you or you’ve never touched a flight simulator before, you’ll be welcome in the Hub.

You don’t need to buy anything.

You don’t need to know anyone.

Just come in.

We’ll provide the seats and the phone chargers. You bring the conversation.
