◆ FLIGHT SIM TECH EXPLAINED PROPERLY.
Technical Hangar
From PC builds and performance to hardware, software and home cockpits, The Technical Hangar is where we get into the detail behind flight simulation
Flight simulation can get technical very quickly.
CPUs, GPUs, RAM, frame generation, peripherals, drivers, settings, add-ons, displays and an ever-growing list of acronyms can turn a hobby into an IT project before you have even left the gate. The Technical Hangar is here to make that side of flight simulation easier to understand.
We’ll explore the hardware, software and decisions behind our own setups, share what we learn, speak to people who know their stuff and look at what actually makes a difference in day-to-day simming.
No assumption that everyone is building a £5,000 cockpit. No pretending there is one perfect setup. Just useful information for AvGeeks trying to understand their equipment, solve problems or get more from the setup they already have.
So here’s what we’ll be getting into.
There is rarely one correct answer when it comes to flight-sim hardware.
Two people can build completely different systems, spend very different amounts and both end up with a setup they love.
That is why we want the Technical Hangar to include more than our own experience.
The Technical Hangar is not about pretending we already know every answer.
It is about finding them.
We’ll test things, compare setups, talk to developers and builders, follow real upgrade projects and share what we discover with the community.
Because when flight simulation gets complicated, somebody has usually already spent three evenings trying to work out exactly the same thing.
